RESIDENTIAL GROUP HOMES Residential Services provides a home-like setting within the community in a licensed, fully staffed group home. The purpose is to provide community living as an alternative to placement within an institution or nursing home. At present, we have the capacity to serve 118 individuals in 29 group homes located in Lake County and Porter County, Indiana. All homes are certified by the Indiana State Department of Health as Intermediate Care Facilities for the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled. Arc BRIDGES' homes are unique to Indiana, as most are homes to only four residents and are operated "family style" with live-in staff.
RESIDENTIAL SERVICES Services provided are similar to those found in any home environment. There is a trained staff person available to the residents as needed. Residential services provide transportation to and from doctor's visits, sheltered or supported employment, community outings, vacations, and any other home-like activity. Skill development is targeted to achieve as independent a level as is possible for each individual in each setting.
